Catherine Malandrino  collection for Spring 2013. The Inspiration was…… ”I wanted to capture the majestic, royal quality of Paris for the woman who lives at a fast pace in New York,”


This gave me LIFE this morning……………. I want most of these garments! This last look is just way to HAWT & I cant wait to drop these few pounds so I can rock shorts!!! What do you HAWTies think of the collection?

The past 3 LOOKS were very flattering & I would WERK them!!!

I really love this last look, I would like to see it in another color besides white, but I love the form & the collar! Really sexy girlie girl! What do you HAWTies think? Did Misses Beckham made these models looks great from ALL ANGLES???

8 anti-breaking tips via blackgirlonghair.com

1. Avoid direct heat (blow drying, flat/curling irons, hot rollers, crimpers)
1a. Alternative for curls – use flexi rods, curl formers, straws or rods

2. Use Gentle Cleanser (sulfate-free shampoos)

3. Low Manipulation (protective styles are good)

4. Moisturizing & Conditioning (water, leave-in conditioners and oils or butters

to seal the hair)

5. Trim split ends

6. Avoid dyes (if you choose to color your hair, go to a professional or use alternatives like Henna, semi or demi permanent colors.

7. Wrap your hair at night (satin scarf and/or satin pillow case)

8. Give your ends some TLC (the ends are the oldest part of your hair so make sure to keep them moisturized at all times

Nappy Friday HAWTies!!! I wanted to try something different so I would like to introduce you all to our NATURAL of the MONTH!! A new thing over here at MH, we want to showcase different NATURAL HAWTies. All of have different textures & curls & styles so to show off the different sides of NATURAL!!!!

Let me introduce to you all to Danisha, born & raised in the Bay Area, Cali. Smart, educated mother of 1  & she just so happens to be my cousin (our Dads are Twin brothers) And she is a Natural girl that WERKs!!! I have asked her a few questions on her NATURAL journey……………..

How long have you been growing your Locs?

I’ve been growing them for 5 years now……..

Do you retwist them yourself, if so what routine do you use? And what products do you use?

Yes i do wash & maintain the care of my locs myself… I sue Mango lime wax for retwisting…. I use fantasia brand tree oil shampoo for washing and African healing oil to moisturize them and keep them from getting dry.

What advice would you give to those Thinking about locs?

My advice for those who wish to grow locs is wait until they’re absolutely ready because it requires a lot of patience. It’s not for everyone, but the rewards are so worth it!!!!

Lastly what do you LOVE the most about your hair?

I love the THICKness, texture, color and the new-found healthiness of my hair. Its my crown that I wear with a renewed sense of pride. I’ve never been happier of with my decision.
