Hey HAWTies Hey,

Its been a minute since we’ve done a FASHION ODE here at MH. SO I wanted to jump-start it up again with the women that inspired this category in the first place. Salt n Peppa, YES HAWTies the best female TRIO EVER!!!! If you don’t know who they are then I am SMH at both you & I (LOL) WELL LET ME LIGHT WEIGHT BUZZ YOU IN. Salt-N-Pepa is an American hip hop trio from Queens and Brooklyn, New York, that was formed in 1985. The group, consisting of Cheryl James, Sandra Denton and Deidra Roper, was one of the first all-female rap crews.They came out bust’n they freestyles & FREE STYLE!!! They stayed pushing the envelope in the style department every time we seen them. Honestly I wanted to dress like them on so many occasions its ridiculous!!!! That’s why I had to honor the GROUP the best way I know how…………..FASHION ODE.

An ODE is

A lyric poem in the form of an address to a particular subject, often elevated in style or manner and written in varied or irregular meter.
A poem meant to be sung.

But I like to think a FASHION ODE is

A picture poem in the form of expression of gratitude & addressing FASHION/ STYLE. Often due to elevated STYLE.
A picture meant to be inspiration.

This is a look that will be known forever!! The Spandex jumpsuit with the leather bomber. I would rock this look today NO LIE, but with a lil twist of course!! They had the sex appeal with a lil hardness…………

They also brought us A symmetrical hair cuts. My moms even rocked this style….I have the pics!!! LOL But it has made its way back around & the HAWTies are WERK’n this style today!!

Always Fashion ICONS!!!! They can go from around the way girls to sophisticated women to all the points in between. Even though they’ve been outta the spot light they still remain Fashion ICONs in my book. They have inspired many of HAWTies & future ones as well….. watch those spandex jumpsuits come back in full effect!!!!!

Happy Monday to you all!! (grumpy voice) another weekend has came to a holt!! But the weekend came to an end with the billboard awards show & Chris Brown shut it down with his Foinnne self! Lol yea I know that’s someone child but shoot come sit on this momma’s lap!! Let’s see what I got in my purse for you!! -it’s been a long day so far HAWTies!

This looks like her grandma Dollie table cloth that she put over her under wear. The fit is awful shows none of her figure. Sorry Nelly don’t like this at all!

A. Keys hips looking good in this All black body hugging gown don’t know the designer but sista is wearing that dress!!

Carrie Underwood looks like the good witch in this dress. Yea it’s cute but I would love to see her in something edgy-er!

Katy Perry has been kills em ever since the break up of her & her ex hubby!! She looks AWESOME, Russell SMH @ you for whatever you did to F this up. Katy I wanna like it, you can kiss me!

Taylor Swift, HAWT girl!! Get it HAWTie in a red dress!!! She looks sexy & I think that may be the first time I’ve used Taylor & sexy in the same line!!! Loves this on her.

Miley looks like she got hit with Murphy Brown’s closet (dont knw who that is google it, showing my age) with a mop for hair! Lots of sites have been oohing over this look. To me if her hair was more on point it would be a nice look. Til then. NO BUENO!!!

Usher Just changed to game with the colorful suit!! Yea I don’t care who says what this is HAWT, picture him & a sea of black & navy suits!! HAWTies it’s always great to be fashionable awkward!! Points to you Usher cuz yours looks have been if-y lately

Brany aka Brandnu Giving all kinds of Face & Fierceness!! All the while rocking the natural look!!! Nude dress is ultra sexy. Although we haven’t heard any new good music from her. She showed up & showed out in this dress.

Word around town is that Miss Nicki Minaj is on the verge of releasing her very own fashion collection. The rapper that never mentions everything she dabbles in has already made major success with the drop of her very own pink shade of M.A.C. lipstick as well as some HAWT nail colors from OPI coming soon. Next on her to SLAY list is taking on the fashion industry, her manager Cortez Bryant, tells the New York Times he’s got a top priority for 2012 – “to negotiate a deal with a fashion house so Ms. Minaj can sell her own line of clothes”.

So tell me HAWTies, would you wear a line by Miss Minaj. Do you all think that the collection may reflect some of her past looks or do you think we can expect something outta the box, which I would think we be something totally normal for Nicki. But you never know, what type of style or which personality would be styling the line. Honestly I intrigued as to what she will be designing. But what I would like to know is that would any of you wear or buy (for a friend) Nicki’s collection?

Pssssst……. Dont forget that Nicki has friends in all kinds of places, with friends like Anna Wintour she is bound to have a few to die for items in her collection.

Hey HAWTies, HAPPY Monday. I have been working a lot of OT this past week so please forgive for the lack of post. But last night was the 2011 American Music Awards. I didn’t watch them so I couldn’t tell you nothing bout performances or anything. But here’s some Fashion Tho……..

J. Hudd looks great in this silver mini Jenny Packham dress and Christian Louboutin shoe. Not sure of the bracelet

Nicki Minaj accepted her award for Rap/Hip-Hop Favorite Artist and album wearing an Emerald silk taffeta gown with black batten burg lace and broderie anglaise bodice from the Oscar De la Renta Spring 2012 collection. Nicki performed with David Guett, not sure who designed this metal number.

Jennifer Lopez wore a Giambattista Valli leopard print gown for the first part of her performance and a sequin body suit underneath & she accepted her award in a black Zuhair Murad Couture gown.

Taylor Swift wore a strapless gold sequin gown by Reema Acra on the red carpet. She looks cute I wish we could have seen her shoes. Her hair was super CUTE. love the little fish tail

DIY – Quick Halloween Costumes

I’m hitting y’all with an OLD POST from last year, & NO I didn’t change the post & am just simply reporting for the sake of GOOD IDEAS! Halloween weekend is approaching soon & we all know some of you HAWTies…..well you know just read on!!!

HAPPY Friday HAWTies!!! Its Halloween weekend & this year I didn’t go hard with costume posts this year. Partially due to me not knowing what I want to be but I have both of them, yes both, picked out. LOL For this weekend I will be the Wicked Witch of the East, its a sexy lingerie witch outfit with a few pieces I added to it. Cant wait to show off the pics, but for work I have a very simple but funny costume. I cant speak on that one just yet cuz I don’t want anyone to bite I have to win the contest at work LOL. Very cheesy yes but I would like to win it. But I will Post Pics HAWTies so you can see what I came up with. But now I wanna help out my HAWTies that love to procrastinate…….

There is always time & items in your closet to put together a quick last-minute costume. Even a quick trip to the dollar store may assist in your efforts. But I have a few tips to get it crack’n for the Holiday Weekend, cuz its always fun to dress up!!!

Sexy Zombie- with all of the Zombie shows & movies out this wont be a wacky idea, specially if you stay in character. LOL! All you need are a few old items in your closet that you plan on throwing out or just not wearing. Try them on make sure you look cute & tear & rip up a shirt or pants leg. And next you need makeup which you can hit up the dollar store for.

HAWT Clown- Who doesn’t have a pair of leggings & maybe even a leotard in their closet. LOL well If you don’t, don’t judge those of us who do. But this can double as a french clown, you would also need a few scarves to pin on the collar & maybe sleeves on your leotard, almost like a jester & of course you can find killer make up ideas online for clowns

Cousin It’s Wifey – Now if your like me then you have plenty of old wigs in my hair box. LOL So why not put it to use, now I would suggest to give it a quick rinse thru to make sure your not smelling ratchet hair all night, but put on your cutest freak um dress on & put the wig so it covers most of your face, throw on a pair of HAWT shades to give it a diva appeal!!

Convicted School Teacher – With teachers getting caught doing the do with their students why not make a joke of it, put on your cutest Conservative / sexy outfit with a pair of those nerd glasses that are in & grab those hand cuffs out the naughty box & put it on one wrist. LOL. You can have fun with the story of what you are & who you did…….

Nicki Minaj – Since she is full of character & colors it doesn’t take much, but a killer wig to pull off a Miss Minaj, grab some leggings & put on a colorful low cut shirt with your best push up & get a bag of balloons from the dollar store & blow them up & tape or glue or pin them to your shirt ( think of her pom pom shirt) & make sure you stuff that read & slap on some pink lips. Maybe even grab a MIC & randomly yell out lyrics of her. ALL YOU BITCHES IS MY SONS, & pull out a baby bib from the dollar store on them hoes… LOL

I just love creativity & indiviiduality & those of you that love to look like others then this post isnt for you!!! Just to see how folks woudl rock certain things like a turban or to see someone is a pair of shoes that you own that they flipped out & wore like you would have ever thought to. This is why I love to look at people & their style & their swag. Peolpe watching/gazing. People are interesting & intriguing LOL. I guess this is part of the reason why I love fashion so much. There is no right or wrong way to wear anything on this planet, well certain rules do apply but thats not in this post. Lil Wayne’s Cater IV Album release party…….the Fashion Files

Last nite at midnight, Mr. Carter released his latest album, CARTER IV. So far Ive heard nothing but great reviews, but I haven’t heard for myself but I love Wayne so my judgement my be blinded by that love, like many other fans. But no album is complete without an album release party, and this one was filled with New & Old MONEY!!!! Check it out HAWTies…….

”Dying to out weird Nicki” Shanell rocked out a sheer pants suit and spiked pumps, I’m just happy to see that she got the proper underwear game tight. No thongs THANK GOD.

Nicki Minaj looked like her un-normal self in this get up. I’m loving her bracelets& hair this time around. Still would love to See her without some tights or leggings or stockings on just one time.

She isn’t with Young Money but she is on Tour with Wayne currently, Keri Hilson looked HAWT from the ankles up, that dress is very basic but cute. I just don’t like it with the black Giuseppe Zanotti ankle wrap wedges, the shoes are cute.

Ciara brought it back in these, makes me wanna sing LOOK AT DEM GIRLS WITH THE DAISY DUKES ON!! LOL I honestly like this look, the black pocket on the back was a hidden pop, that really worked & then with the Versace black pumps to pull the look together pure HAWTness.

C. Millian is always showing her sexy, in a good way. Her style screams tamed sex kitten, what I mean by tamed is, she never goes over board with the sexy. This leopard number with Red accessories looks great on her skin tone. The Dream should check himself into rehab for messing this chick over. Not only beauty but she has brains to match.

Elise Neal looked great in this little number. The fit wasn’t what I wanted it to be LOL, like I wore the damn thang but the color is on point & the nude pumps are working for me.

Now I’m not going to show any of the male looks cuz……… I didn’t like em LOL Nuff said LOL. Naw but tell me what your thoughts are HAWTies, type to me!!!!!!!
